Sedated Cat Grooming

Grooming is an important part of pet care. All pet coats can benefit from regular grooming - especially cats that are prone to hairball or long haired cats to prevent knots forming in their coats.

Ideally this is something that can be done at home. However, some of our feline friends will simply not tolerate grooming at home and it starts to cause a great deal of stress. This may start to impact your relationship with your pet. They may start to run away from you whenever they see the brush come out.

At Eumundi Vets we want to take the stress out of keeping your pet's coat in optimal condition - so we offer sedated cat grooming.

How it works

We will give your cat an injection to sedate them. In some cases we will also put in an intravenous catheter to allow us to adjust the sedation during the procedure.

Once sedated and blissfully unaware, we will clip/groom your cat as requested by you. Your cat is monitored throughout the procedure by qualified veterinary nurses and is under the care of the Veterinarian.

We then monitor your cat in hospital until they are awake enough to go home and show off their new hair cut!

So come and visit or make an appointment today.
